Tempus Flux \tem-puhs fluhks\ noun, Latin. The flow of time.
Where does it go?
Couldn't tell you. I sit down at the bench, start a project, and the next thing I know it's 8 hours later. I've been losing time like this since I was a young warthog, when "jewelry making" meant busting out the organized-by-color embroidery thread box to make friendship bracelets. While I can say my tools and skills have improved since then, the issue with time melting away has not.
I'm Anne: metalsmith, rock and gem aficionado, and dedicated student of shiny things based in Boise, Idaho. My love of jewelry--and making it--is inspired by the way a worn object becomes something you live in; a part of you.
Whether it's a piece found while traveling or the silver ring that Grandma always wore that's now in your hands, these treasures hold the memory of people and places you love the most. I want my work to do the same for you.
I work in silver, bronze, and gold and focus on small batch and one-of-a-kind designs. All handmade by me the old fashioned way (Love! Patience! Old timey hand tools!).
